João Charrua was born in the city of Beja where he developed a taste for the arts and especially for drawing. Trained architect, he collaborated with several architects and workshops at the beginning of his professional career. In addition to architecture another of his passions is to create imaginary geometries on paper, or if you prefer, Origami. Origami has emerged as a mere curiosity, being nowadays a real commitment that João takes very seriously. He sees origami as an activity complementary to his profession essentially as a means by which he can freely express his creativity. He is passionate about illustration and everything that has to do with themes such as fantasy, fantasy and science fiction, where he takes much of his inspiration for his creations. In his free time, when he is not folding paper he likes to play sports, to draw and to play with his children. Do not be surprised if you find him daydreaming as it is only his prolific imagination working.
